YOU GOT THE WRONG ONE
“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”

There’s a story about how physical combat started during the American civil war of 1861. The armies were set in array against each other waiting for who would fire the first shot. Then, out of nowhere a shot rang out. No one knew where the shot came from. It came from an arms dealer who was waiting to sell arms to both sides.
Unknown to many couples, it’s the devil that fires the first shot leading to hostilities between husband and wife. Most folks are simply ignorant of the fact that marriages and homes are under spiritual attack from the hordes of hell. The devil and his demons are adept at planting harmful thoughts and imaginations in the minds of couples. How?
A wife watches a movie where a doting husband is discovered to be having an affair. She goes away with the thought, “ men can’t be trusted”. The next day, her husband stays out later than usual and the wife is getting anxious back at home. Gradually, a thought glides into her heart. “He’s with some woman somewhere”. When that man returns home, there’s going to be trouble, unless he has an iron tight alibi and a huge dose of patience.
God’s Word has the antidote to the devil’s thoughts and its found in Philippians 4:8. We’re specifically instructed as to what thoughts to allow in our minds and by extension what thoughts to disallow. The thoughts you focus on will determine what you say and what you say will determine how you act. Your actions will ultimately determine the experiences you have.
The great Man of God, Kenneth Hagin said “You can’t stop birds from flying over your head but you sure can stop them from building nests on your head”. Any thought about your marriage, home or family that causes anxiety, fear, doubt, confusion, sorrow and negative emotions aren’t from God. They’re from the devil and or his cohorts. Learn to deal with them by casting them out in the Name of Jesus, fast, and by declaring God’s Word over your marriage, home and family. This is one sure way of cutting off the devil’s attacks against your marriage, home and family.
CONFESSION
In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I declare that I guard my heart with all diligence. I refuse to allow the devil turn my mind into his dumping ground. I refuse to accommodate negative thoughts that introduce fear, anxiety, worry, doubt, confusion and sorrow into my marriage, home or family. I only accommodate thoughts that strengthen and build my marriage, home and family.
